Dairy service
Support the equipment and routines producers rely on every day.
The people behind Day One Dairy
Day One Dairy begins with the Thackerays—a family that has spent years showing up for dairy producers, solving practical problems and building the equipment that keeps communities working.
The Thackeray story
In 2013, the Thackeray family started a dairy service company with the support of their families. From Independence and Dallas, Oregon, they built the business the straightforward way: honest work, quality service and a willingness to stay until the job was done.
Farmers responded. Crystal Creek grew across the Northwest and beyond, but the center of the company stayed the same—real relationships with producers and practical responsibility for the systems their livelihoods depend on.
“Quality is the goal. Honesty is the key.”
Capability earned in the field
Dairy remained the core while producers asked Crystal Creek to solve adjacent problems. Refrigeration, ice, fabrication and custom trucks became part of one practical capability: understand the operating need, build the right system and stand behind the result.
Support the equipment and routines producers rely on every day.
Control temperature and protect product across demanding operations.
Build around the real site instead of forcing a generic answer.
Bring equipment, utilities, controls and service into one working whole.
What does not change
Listen first, stay transparent and build the kind of trust that earns the next call.
Bring years of dairy and related commercial work to the decisions that matter in the field.
Show up, take responsibility and keep working until the job is done.
Why Day One Dairy
Day One Dairy takes the same dairy, refrigeration and fabrication mindset and applies it to a transportable production platform. The ambition is larger, but the standard is familiar: design around the people who will use it, make the system understandable and stay honest about what it takes to succeed.
For the Thackerays, food security is not an abstract idea. It is the daily work of helping producers turn livestock, skill and dependable equipment into food for their communities.
